The short version: We collect your email address when you join the waitlist. We use it only to notify you when BibBuddy launches. We don't sell your data, we don't spam you, and you can unsubscribe any time.

1. Who we are

BibBuddy is a peer-to-peer marketplace for runners, connecting people who want to exchange race bibs and find race weekend accommodation. BibBuddy is operated from Brisbane, Australia. References to "we", "us", or "BibBuddy" in this policy refer to the BibBuddy platform and its operators.

2. What information we collect

Waitlist sign-up: When you join the BibBuddy waitlist, we collect your email address. This is the only information we collect during the pre-launch period.

After launch (when the platform is live): We will collect additional information necessary to operate the marketplace, including name, profile information, race history, and payment details. This policy will be updated before the platform launches to cover that information in full.

Usage data: Like most websites, we collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs. This data is used for security and to understand how the site is being used. It is not linked to individual identities.

Waitlist email addresses are stored securely. We use industry-standard practices to protect data from unauthorised access, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable precautions.

Data is stored on servers located in the United States (Cloudflare infrastructure). By using this site, you consent to this transfer.

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly to be removed from the waitlist.

The BibBuddy website does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. We use only essential cookies required for the site to function (such as Cloudflare security cookies). You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site.

8. Third-party links

Our blog guides contain links to third-party websites (race organisers, accommodation providers, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

9. Children's privacy

BibBuddy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the BibBuddy platform launches and additional data is collected. We will notify waitlist members of any material changes by email before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
